Mark was trained through the Carolina’s Associated General Contractors’ Carpenter Apprenticeship Program. Over the years, Mark has supervised nearly every commercial project type including recreational facilities, healthcare buildings, municipal projects, labs, churches, and learning centers. He has a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach in the field.

Brandon originally hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi before moving to North Carolina. Brandon worked his way up through CT Wilson’s apprenticeship program where he received specialized training in construction document comprehension, carpentry, safety, management and supervision, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and bidding. As Superintendent, Brandon specializes in fast-track renovation projects in occupied buildings. His personable demeanor promotes a team-centric attitude on each of his projects.

Cliff took courses at Wake Tech while enrolled in CT Wilson’s Apprenticeship Program. Instruction focused on construction document comprehension, carpentry, safety, management and supervision, scheduling, cost control, estimating, bidding, and green building fundamentals. Cliff also received invaluable management training while overseeing the field operations of a small tile company. His specialized experience enhances his expertise as Superintendent by bringing a distinct understanding to his management style. Cliff has worked on a variety of smaller scaled projects, typically for public clients.  In his spare time, Cliff enjoys fishing and volunteering at his church.

Tim was accepted into CT Wilson Construction’s apprenticeship program in 2001 immediately following high school. He took courses in Construction Management from Wake Technical Community College and is trained in advanced blueprint reading, carpentry (levels 1-3), tool safety, preconstruction planning, scheduling, cost control, LEAN Planning, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and estimating. His experience includes supervising projects with expedited schedules and complex phasing in occupied facilities. These projects range in value from $500,000 to $11,000,000.

Mike started at CT Wilson after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University. Mike has supervised a variety of construction project types from new construction to renovations. His experience involves working with private and public clients across various municipalities, with diverse schedule requirements and a vast range of cost. Mike is a member of ECU’s Construction Association and Pirate’s Club.

Matt joined CT Wilson’s apprenticeship program immediately following high school where he received specialized training in construction document comprehension, carpentry, safety, management and supervision, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and bidding. He received his Project Supervision Certificate from Wake Tech Community College in 2009 and has been almost exclusively managing healthcare renovation projects as a Superintendent. Matt excels in client relationship management, working in occupied facilities, and enforcing the highest level of safety and health standards.

Paul worked in the construction industry while attending Appalachian State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology/Construction Technology with a Minor in Business. Paul has built projects out of the ground and projects that involve complex renovations in historic or occupied buildings. His extensive experience enables him to foresee potential problems early on in the project and avoid them. Always thorough and organized, Paul is a strong implementer of LEAN Construction methods.

Billy worked in residential construction before joining CT Wilson in 2004 as a Carpenter’s Assistant. He worked his way up to Superintendent and is responsible for managing a large portion of CT Wilson’s multi-million-dollar renovation projects including Person County Memorial Hospital, Saxapahaw Mills, and Revolution Mill in Greensboro. Billy specializes in historic preservation projects and is a member of the Historic Preservation Foundation of North Carolina.

Red started working in construction before he graduated high school in 2001. When he came to work for CT Wilson, he enrolled in the Apprenticeship program offered through Carolina’s AGC. Instruction focused on construction document comprehension, carpentry, safety, management and supervision, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and bidding. In his spare time, Red enjoys carpentry projects and working on cars.


Todd Andrews

Todd came to CT Wilson in 2004 with a seasoned background in building supplies, landscaping, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn. He enhanced his skills with the company through on-the-job (OTJ) training and further education in carpentry, blueprint reading, and various safety training. He received a certificate for Journeyman from the Carolina’s AGC. Todd worked his way up to Superintendent and has experience with a variety of project types including historic restoration, commercial offices, and healthcare renovations.

Ryan was also trained through the Carolina’s Associated General Contractors’ Carpenter Apprenticeship Program where he received specialized training in construction document comprehension, safety, management and supervision, scheduling, and cost control. Ryan worked his way up to Superintendent and has since managed a variety of our large-scale projects for Duke Regional Hospital and Durham Academy. He is the most experienced in mixed-use, HUD housing projects overseen by the Durham Housing Authority. Ryan is always eager to take on a new challenge and brings an upbeat attitude to each project.

Matt began working in construction in 2006 as a laborer for CT Wilson Construction. He left after four years of working for the company and went on to spend a year in Bolivia to provide social services for families in extreme poverty. Matt came back to CT Wilson in 2015 as an Assistant Superintendent and finished his Associate’s Degree in Spanish and Psychology at Alamance Community College in 2016. He was promoted to Superintendent while working on the JA Whitted School project – a HUD funded multi-generational, multi-use, historic redevelopment project. Matt has worked on numerous projects ranging in type, size, and cost. In his spare time, Matt enjoys raising chickens and turkeys with his wife, Kimberly.


Maurice Pegram

Maurice graduated from Piedmont Community College in 2003 with a degree in General Occupational Technology with extensive training in carpentry and masonry. Before joining CT Wilson in 2007, Maurice worked for North Carolina Central University in their Physical Plant department. Maurice has worked on numerous projects as a skilled mason. As an Assistant Superintendent, Maurice has supervised a variety of projects for Durham County and Durham Public Schools. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his kids, playing basketball, and traveling.


Zak Hamlett

Zak received an Associate’s Degree from Lenoir Community College before obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University in 2008. He was hired as a Superintendent right out of College and has been responsible for a variety of addition and renovation projects. A lot of his projects have been mixed-use developments or places of worship. Zak is an Appalachia Service Project Volunteer and previous Summer Staff member.


Will Burpitt

Will worked for a residential contractor as a carpenter and eventually a foreman while in high school and college. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management at Appalachian State University in 2008 and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Will worked at CT Wilson from 2008 to 2011 and came back to CT Wilson in 2016. He is currently working on completing his MBA at Elon University while working fulltime as a Superintendent. Will has worked on a variety of project types. In his spare time, he enjoys building furniture and hanging out with his dog, Shep.


Cole McDonald

Cole worked in construction while attending Appalachian State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management with a Minor in Community and Regional Planning. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from the redevelopment of a large-scale historic mill to the careful renovation of University research facilities. Cole has also worked in secure areas of Raleigh-Durham’s Airport and in highly-regarded places of worship. His versatility has made him a strong asset to the CT Wilson team.

Taylor received an Associate’s Degree in Building and Construction Technology from Pitt Community College before obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University in 2009. Over the Summers, Taylor worked as a framer for a residential contractor. This hands-on mentality is reflected in Taylor’s management style. As Superintendent, Taylor manages large new construction and renovation projects for private and public clients.

Josh started at CT Wilson in 2011 immediately following high school. He worked his way up to Superintendent from Carpenter’s Assistant and has been an integral member of the team responsible for the 600,000 sf redevelopment project of Revolution Mill in Greensboro. In his spare time, Josh is a drummer in a local rock band.

Tyler worked at CT Wilson in the summer while attending North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Engineering and Design. Tyler’s previous training as an Eagle Scout has influenced his current leadership role as a Superintendent. Since joining CT Wilson, Tyler has worked almost exclusively on historic mixed-use projects adjacent to occupied facilities.

Chris began working at CT Wilson during the summer while he was attending Appalachian State University. He graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Business. Chris volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the Appalachia Service Project while in school. Since joining CT Wilson full-time in 2016, Chris has assisted on projects at Duke Regional Hospital, UNC, and Revolution Mill in Greensboro. When he is not working at CT Wilson, Chris volunteers as a part-time firefighter and EMT with the Orange Grove Fire Department.


Chris Philipps

Prior to joining C.T. Wilson in 2015, Mr. Philipps spent over a decade in residential construction as a superintendent and later an owner for a few different custom home builders. In 2006, he joined Lee Street Construction as a superintendent overseeing jobs ranging from $150,000 to $3,000,000.

Al started his construction career as a carpenter working for $5/hour. He worked his way up and in 1983, he relocated to Durham to work for a developer as a construction site supervisor. Fifteen years later, he started his own company as a licensed General Contractor in North Carolina, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Andrew Philipps, the owner of Lee Street Construction at the time, later recruited Al as a superintendent. Al worked with Andrew for several years before they both joined CT Wilson Construction.

For over twenty years, Andy worked at CIIT Center for Health Research in RTP before it became the Hamner Institute for Health Sciences first as the Senior Lead Maintenance Technician then the Maintenance and Facility Manager. His prior role as a Client Representative brings a unique perspective to his current role as Superintendent at CT Wilson Construction. The majority of his experience is related to lab and vivarium projects in highly sensitive, occupied facilities. Andy’s education and training is focused on management, lab equipment operations and maintenance, controls and programming, micro-computers, circuits, and circuit applications. Andy has been in construction since 1987, is a licensed Electrical Contractor, a licensed General Contractor, and enjoys flying and building small aircraft in his free time.

Wayne received his Associates Degree in Aeronautical Science Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force before starting in construction as an ironworker. After twelve years, he became a Superintendent for steel erection before joining CT Wilson as a Superintendent in 2016. Wayne brings unique trade experience from previous projects as a steel superintendent to his current position. A few past projects include the 21C Hotel, the Yankee Stadium, Orange Regional Hospital, and the 108th Brigade Barracks at Fort Bragg.

Joe graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structures from North Carolina State University in 2010. While in school, he completed an apprenticeship in telecommunications and digital electronics. Since joining CT Wilson in 2016, Joe has worked in Raleigh on multiple projects at the NC State Fairgrounds. He has also worked on an exterior renovation project at the North Carolina Executive Mansion. Joe enjoys working in the shop, riding his dirt bike, and running in his free time.


Austin Ramsey

Austin worked for the Raleigh Police Department before relocating to Georgia and transitioning into the construction industry. Prior to joining CT Wilson Construction, Austin gleaned experience as a foreman for a disaster services contractor and later as a Superintendent for a commercial General Contractor. With his unconventional background, Austin brings a unique perspective to the industry. His specialized training prepared him to work effectively in high stress situations where quick decision-making is critical. Safety is also a number one priority. This makes him an obvious asset for projects that are performed in occupied spaces, require an accelerated schedule, or incorporate complex tasks.

Jason received a certificate in welding from Miller-Motte Technical College in Goodlettsville, TN in 2009. He started in construction as an ironworker in 2012 and was managing his own crew a year later. He joined CT Wilson Construction in 2017 as an assistant superintendent and has worked on projects at Barton College and the North Carolina Executive Mansion. He enjoys spending time with his family and riding motorcycles in his spare time.
