Description:The existing cafeteria was demolished with the exception of the exterior walls on half of the building. An adjacent brick dormitory was demolished and the area excavated for the addition. The structure consists of steel framing, fire proofing, slab on deck, exterior stud framing, curtain wall, metal panels and masonry. The existing building was reconfigured to accommodate new kitchen and serving area. The addition is a three story building with offices, dining areas, conference rooms and retail areas. The owner provided and installed all kitchen equipment with the exception of PM&E connections. The facility is fully sprinkled. A new 3 stop elevator, a 3 stop dump waiter and a one stop HC lift have been installed. The HVAC system consists of four new AHU’s, a new chiller, duct work, VAV boxes and electronic controls. The plumbing package includes new water heaters, multiple bathrooms, gas piping and extensive rough in for the kitchen equipment. The electrical package consists of power, lighting, data, telecommunications, fire alarm and a backup generator. The interior finishes consist mainly of resilient flooring, acoustical ceilings and paint. The dining area has exposed structure ceiling painted. The site work consisted of grading, storm water, new domestic water and sanitary sewer, sidewalks and landscaping. |
