Description:

This project is located below the birthing center and next to the Cardiac Operating room at Duke Hospital, both of which remained operational throughout construction. The only access to the site was over a scaffold walk way from the second floor roof of the adjacent building and through the site’s third floor window. Control of dirt and dust was of the utmost importance and significant attention was given to ensure no infiltration to adjust rooms. The construction process was coordinated with the hospital staff to ensure minimum noise disruption. The floor of this project was hospital grade sheet vinyl with inlayed ocean animals and welded seams.
