The building needed significant renovations to correct defects affecting all activities.
The renovations included conversion of animal quarters to shared facilities, renovation of office space to allow relocation of a Genomic Core to the building, and renovation to the building infrastructure. The project involved two floors of partial renovation, with a combined square footage of 26,500, followed by the installation of a new roof.
This project consisted of selective interior demolition consisting of masonry walls, drywall, acoustical ceiling, duct, pipe, insulation, AHUs, pumps and miscellaneous electrical items. The exterior demolition included brick pavers, concrete and asphalt. Approximately 1200 square feet of ceiling materials were removed and reinstalled on the project.
