Wilson Construction Co. Description:C.T. Wilson was selected as the General Contractor for the Fellowship Hall addition to St. Philips Church in downtown Durham, NC. This project was constructed on a very tight site with very little room for a staging area.
This project consisted of a 12,000 sq. ft. addition to their Education Building and contained an Assembly Hall, Kitchen, and Restrooms to serve those that use the facility.
The Fellowship Hall addition was constructed with a laminated wood exposed structure. The exterior walls were veneer masonry and the peak of the room was approximately 30 ft off the finish floor slab.
Since the original bids came in above the Church budget, we worked closely with the both the Owner and Designer to get their project within the budget without sacrificing the function of the building. These preconstruction services allowed the project to proceed so that the church could continue their vital mission in downtown Durham.
