Description:

This project consisted of a free standing building to replace the Sanctuary that was part of the main building. This allowed the church to expand their service to both their congregation and the community. The project was steel structure and the Sanctuary had an octagonal shape. The steel structure was supported by spread footings on the bottom and a compression ring on the top. This allowed for a very spacious room with no interior columns. The clear height in the center of the Sanctuary was approximately sixty feet from the floor slab so careful planning took place so that mobile platforms could be used to complete the finishes on the interiors.
